One foggy morning we went to Bell Grove and were awed by the beauty of the scene. We go to Bell Grove often and enjoy the gently rolling fields and the mountains in the distance. But this morning the melting snow left puddles that reflected the shadow of the tree. ‘My’ Sycamore Tree had no leaves, and the tiniest branches were nearly invisible. It was awesomely quieting to my soul.
It reminded me that sometimes I need to see life through a foggy lens to take my eyes off the details and see the big picture. What is most important, getting my point across or giving room for someone else’s opinion? Am I nitpicking details when I should be seeing the big picture?
My prayer for you is that you are able to see your situation as God sees it and trust Him for the best outcome.
