This French Cafe was a Paul Clark tutorial. It stretched my current skills more than any other of his tutorials. Including tables and chairs and even a man reading a newspaper. I had never even tried to sketch something like this before. But I found it was not as hard as I imagined it would be. His traceable sketch included less information than I would have liked, but surprisingly, it was enough!
I would say this was an exercise in trust! I know I like his work and I like his tutoring style. Taking a challenge to try new subjects is part of the process of learning. What kind of challenge do you have facing you? Do you trust your guide? If so, take the plunge. You may be as delighted as I was with the results!
