This is the first of a series of Barns that I want to paint. I’m fascinated by barns and there are so many in the Shenandoah Valley where we live. Some are in beautiful condition as this one is and some are about to fall down with a wide range in between. I have not had the nerve to paint these grand structures until now. With some landscapes practiced, I felt ready to try one solo.
It still seems pretty elementary, but I’m determined to post my progress. So this is my first solo attempt.
