Since I had finished the Landscape tutorial month, I wanted to try one of the Utah Buttes that we had seen on our trip in May. This was harder than I expected, but I was still pretty pleased with the way it turned out. I learned a lot by doing it on my own and practicing the wet-on-wet method on my own. I was surprised to see how much darker I had to paint to make the contours stand out as they should. Mostly,

I was reminded how tiny I felt looking at these giant rocky formations. Our world is awesome and causes me to praise the Creator and Designer of this world He gave us.
