This beautiful green and black butterfly is found all over southeast Asia. It especially likes rainforests. This is the male butterfly, the female has similar spots, but her wings are mostly brownish shades. They mature quickly so they can have seven to eight broods per year. They love to pollanate plants often used in urban gardens, Ixora and pointsettia.
I am fascinated by the incredible variety of butterflies, I will be adding to this collection of watercolor butterflies.
