This is the first time I tried painting a winter scene on my own. This is the road from the Belle Grove Plantation with its huge Sycamore tree. (Just for the record, I have claimed this tree as my own!) We often drive to this nearby plantation for some quiet rest. It is so peaceful in any season. This snow just made it particularly quiet and beautiful.
For a first attempt to paint a snowy scene on my own, I was pleased with the result.
