This is the third painting I did with Geoff Kersey at his on-line school. I love old barns! They capture a way of life that is fading away in modern America. So as part of my way to prepare to paint lots more barns and farm buildings, I learned a lot from this tutorial. I still didn’t trust my hands to paint the long straight lines of the windmill, so they are done With ink and colored pencils. I was surprised how a few light lines in the foreground turned the bushy looking foliage into wildflowers.
