This is the first of a series of landscape paintings I did with Geoff Kersey’s tutoring. I joined his school for one month and concentrated on learning as much as I could about these big compositions.
This is Reynard’s Cave. Actually is was a cave and the bottom fell out making it an arch now.
I was really afraid to put such dark colors in, But as I progressed in the picture, without the very dark areas, this picture would make no sense.
I was pretty happy with this as a very first landscape painting.
