This gorgeous red squirrel was a tutorial in Anna Mason’s school. She painted this very large. I painted mine 8X10. All was well until it was time to paint the very long tail. Each hair was long and the brushes I had would not hold enough paint to extend as long as the hairs. So I had to do each hair in parts. It was really tricky! I know I have to invest in some new brushes before I attempt another painting like this! When it came to the whiskers, I didn’t trust my hand to be steady enough to do them in pieces. So, I cheated! They are graphite pencil. Easily erased if I got them wrong! He’s so cute I didn’t mind the challenge!
