This Freesia Flower was part of the Anna Mason Line and Wash series. I really enjoyed seeing these beautiful flowers jump off the page as the washes colored them and the dark tones made the petals curl. I would also like to do this flower with the more detailed realistic watercolor technique.
Freesias originated in South Africa, then carried to most of the temperate areas of the world. Florists love to use the Freesia as they add so much color on one stalk.
