
This Clematis Flower was one of a set of Line and Wash technique florals I did through Anna Mason’s school. These are much quicker to paint than the usual detailed watercolor I’ve learned in her school. Line and Wash is done by starting with a line drawing in either ink or colored pencil. Then the color is added with watercolor in thin layers called washes.
I really enjoyed this technique and will add more of this type in following posts.
