Black-Eyed Susan

This Black-Eyed Susan is another line and wash watercolor painting from Anna Mason’s school. After painting the Clematis in this style, I chose the Black-Eyed Susan.

It is so much faster to paint in this style, but detail is also lost from the more realistic botanical style. This one is outlined in colored pencil before applying the color washes. I will add a few more flowers using this style.
