Persimmon

After my challenge with the Mandarin Ducks, I went back to a simple Anna Mason tutorial, the Persimmon.

It was a lot of fun! The persimmon has a rather smooth leathery skin and lovely mild sweet taste. I was first introduced to the persimmon by a Korean neighbor who taught me to make a persimmon tea like the Koreans. She shared her prized imported fruit with us for this tea.

As I look at this painting, I remember all the people who have come along side and shared their lives with me. Some have continued to be important, close friends for years. Others, like this neighbor, were for a short time close and then we lost touch. I pray for all these friends. I pray that God comfort them in any trouble, heal their pains, bring good people close to befriend them, and draw them ever closer to Him and His purposes for their lives.

Who will you pray for today?
