God’s Grace

I dreamed I had somehow gotten onto a huge boulder. I don’t know how I got up on it, but I could not see any way to get down. Maybe I could sit down on it and slide off?  But it was so big I knew I’d break my legs on landing. I was panicky.

Then I prayed. I calmed down. I sat down on the boulder and slid off. I landed softly. When I looked back at it, the boulder was much smaller than I thought it was.

The boulder was the same but my perception was different with God’s grace.

This is a good picture of grace. It makes all the impossible possible. Those ‘boulders’ are not so big from God’s perspective.

“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”  2Co 12:9 NIV

Are you faced with a problem that looks way too big for you to solve? Does it seem like God is asking you to step out and do something you’ve never done before? Does the future look like you will be broken by it?  Why not pray? Tell God you’re scared and don’t feel able. Let His grace be your power to do what must be done.

May God bless you with His grace to do all He has called you to do!
