Fox Glove Seed Pods

During the winter in Virginia, USA, there are no flowers growing, leafy plants, or even much color. So graphite drawing of the seed pods scattered everywhere is a logical subject for sketching. Before these pods open, their tiny seeds rattle in the dry pods. The pods I found had already popped open and scattered their many seeds. I loved the shape of these pods. They just looked happy to me.
