This brilliant bird was such a joy to paint! I found his image as a stock photo. I had wanted to try my new yellow paint and he let me try lots of my favorite colors! With all his glorious color, he is just a pheasant foraging for seeds and bugs on hard, dry ground!
Isn’t that a little like us? We may be dressed in beautiful clothes and walk with a regal gait. But we are just human with strengths and weaknesses and hopes and fears. What makes us different is who we honor! We are nothing on our own, but when we love and honor Jesus, He uses us for His work and His glory.
